| Respect is such a big issue these days. I don't know how guys are being raised these days...but its not normal to be cursing at your girlfriend (or any girl for that fact). When I hear guys calling their girlfriends stupid, it makes me cringe. These girls are supposed to be your other half, your equal...Watching Wes and Johanna's relationship on Fresh Meat is always upsetting to see. He says, "she's not the smartest cookie." As if he's soo smart!!! He's the one that doesn't know how to play the game! He underestimates his girlfriend and he calls his teammate, Casey, a stupid bitch. Who does that? What kind of mother raised him that way. Unfortunately, I have witnessed more than one man who treats women like that. From what i understand, its more of an insecurity issue guys deal with. They need to feel like men and therefore they have that old-fashion mentality where they need to put women in their places. Maybe they aren't getting the respect that they want in life. Its a factor that can't be controlled. So they use something that they can control (like their girlfriends. Girls don't like to be treated that way, but they deal with it (at least until they realize that they deserve better). This could seriously damage a girl's frame of mind. Women und up not being sure of anything, feeling that she isn't good enough, feeling that she's incapable of doing things. I just wish that any girl who is unfortunate enough to be in a relationship w/ a man like this needs to realize her self-worth and evaluate her feelings towards a guy who doesn't give her what she needs and deserves. Never again!!! |
